The Design
In 1967 Carroll Shelby introduced a new model, the GT500. It was fitted with a larger, more powerful 428 Ford FE V8 “Police Interceptor” engine with 355 bhp. Only 2,048 GT500s were built in 1967. Shelby’s big GT for ’67 is a classic.
