Just a tubular steel chassis bonded to a Kevlar and carbon-fiber composite body, fixed Lexan side windows that slide instead of rolling down, and that absolutely iconic shape — sculpted to maximize downforce, with NACA ducts cut into the bodywork, the legendary basket-handle rear wing, and those gorgeous flying-buttress C-pillars flowing into the rear deck.
Underneath the engine cover: a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 471 horsepower in the most violent, lag-induced, oh-god-here-it-comes way possible, with absolutely terrifying boost building somewhere in the upper rev range. The first production road car to officially break the 200 mph barrier. Originally planned as a limited run before demand pushed production over 1,300 units.
