The Ferrari Dino 246 GT is the most beautiful Ferrari ever built — and Enzo's tribute to his late son. Named after Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari, who developed the V6 engine concept before his death in 1956, the Dino was Ferrari's first mid-engine road car and the model that quietly rewrote what a Ferrari was allowed to be. Bodywork drawn by Aldo Brovarone at Pininfarina — a flowing, sensuous, almost feminine shape that's still considered one of the all-time masterpieces of automotive design — wraps a transversely-mounted 2.4-liter V6 making 195 horsepower, sent through a five-speed manual to the rear wheels. No Ferrari badge anywhere on the car at launch. Just the Dino name, given its own identity, intended as a separate marque entirely. Lighter, smaller, and more nimble than any V12 Ferrari of the era, the Dino was the car that proved performance didn't need cylinders — it needed balance.
