Aluminum monocoque chassis — the first ever in a production car — mid-mounted naturally aspirated V6 with VTEC, a six-speed manual gearbox, and chassis development handled by Ayrton Senna himself, who tested the prototype at Suzuka and told Honda the rear end needed to be stiffer. They listened. The result was a supercar that ran with Ferrari 348s on the track, started reliably every morning, didn't overheat in traffic, and came with a warranty.
